Regional Benefits
This Festival originated from the interest of local multicultural groups planning a dance party to bring together Australians to celebrate the culture of their international birthplaces. It took life from there and the rest is history. The multi-national management committee was formed in late June and gave birth to the concept of the Fraser Coast Cultural Festival. There are good reasons for a festival.
Economic Benefits
The 2008 event will stimulate the regions economy considerably. The Festival's economic contribution to the local communities will expand from year to year. Many innovative ideas can be considered for maximising the flow of new capital into the community.
Supporting Tourism
The Festival will become a significant contributor to the local tourism industry and this outstanding event will attract excellent in-depth media coverage locally, and selective statewide coverage is also anticipated. The organisers strongly believe that through cultural presentations the Coast will come alive with colourful pageants, many unique programs, action packed activities and interesting art exhibits.
Support for the Arts Community
This will be the premier event for 2008 in the region and will embrace Australian and various ethnic cultural groups artistic presentations. The Fraser Coast Cultural Festival is an excellent marketing platform for the local arts and crafts community and offers significant exposure to the public.
